Trail Partners is the tale of a gentle fighter name "Slope" Dugan, a barroom brawler named Blondy, and a kid on the run named Red, who had enough savvy for the three of them. Slope had walked half way across the country to sell some mining stock back to Bonanza Chris -- worthless stock, he thought. So when Bonanza offered to pay Slope $1500, Red smelled a fish, convinced his friend to turn down the offer, and conceived a plan for the three buddies to explore the Christabel mine for themselves. If rumors were true, they might end up millionaires. But the also might end up... dead.
